CARMEN' BIOGRAPHY Carmen was born in Colombia, and now is living in London, Ontario. She is a lawyer specializing in Family, Canonic, and Commercial Law in Colombia where she worked for almost 20 years. Her dedication and great success endeared her to her clients who miss her greatly. During her early years in London she learned English, worked for Siskinds the Law Firm, for 2 years, and looked for ways to work with people and for people. To that effect Carmen has consistently volunteered in the community, involved in volunteer work from the moment she arrived to London. In fact, she worked at Chelsey Park for 3 years. Currently she is a volunteer in the program The Breakfast Club at the Sir Arthur School and S.W.I.M. (Single Women in Motherhood). Carmen’s passion is London without Borders, a non-profit organization. The idea for creating this association grew from a conversation with friends sharing their experiences of coming to London. The objectives of this non-profit organization are to help newcomers with their transition to Canada and help all Canadians who are struggling with poverty. Carmen has also been an active Toastmaster member for the past three years and has served as her Club’s secretary since she became a member Carmen is fluent in both Spanish and English and offers the Latin flair to your Real Estate buying and selling experience. Carmen enjoys working in Real Estate because she is able to use all the skills she has acquired as a lawyer MIKE'S BIOGRAPHY Mike moved from Sarnia to London during the mid 1970’s to attend the University of Western Ontario. He has since made London his home. He has been employed with Kellogg Canada Inc. since 1981. Like Carmen, Mike shares a dedication for working with the community. He held a volunteer position as a Treasurer for the non profit organization called E.C.C.O which provides support to many charitable organizations in London. Currently he works as a volunteer as a Treasurer for London without Borders. Additionally, Mike works for the Liberal MPP’s assisting Khalil Ramal, representative for the London-Fanshawe riding. Mike is also an active member of Toastmasters International, serving as the President for his Club for the term of 2008-2009. Mike shares a love for dancing with his wife Carmen. He is also an avid skier and enjoys weightlifting. His personal fascination with architecture, its history & design, propelled him into the world of Real Estate.
